VSM Abrasives has been manufacturing quality coated abrasive products for more than 136 years. Originally founded in Hannover, Germany in 1864, the company initially marketed to European manufacturers. Due to the high demand for their products in Europe, VSM decided to expand their territory to the United States.
In 1978, VSM broke ground to build a manufacturing plant in O'Fallon, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Today VSM O'Fallon services all of the United States and supports the Mexican and Canadian operations. In addition, VSM has subsidiaries in Great Britain, France, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary and Sweden.
VSM offers a complete line of coated abrasive products for any application including: metalworking, woodworking, glass, rubber, stone, brick and ceramic applications.
VSM's specialty product line includes: Ceramic Grain and Compact Grain for metalworking and Antistatic Belts and KK532F for woodworking applications.
