In year 2001, the company Hangzhou Machine Tool Works and Hangzhou No.1 Radio Special Equipment Factory merged into today's Hangzhou Machine Tool Group Co., Ltd. Hangzhou Machine Tool Works was founded in year 1958, is the biggest and professional surface grinding machine manufacturer in China. The later is the earliest professional EDM machine producer in China.
In year 2006, HZMTG has successfully acquired the majority share of aba z&b Schleifmaschinen GmbH, a well-known German company which has been manufacturing state-of-the-art grinding machines for over one hundred years.
The group now has twenty independent legal entities and nine production bases in Hangzhou, Changchun, Zhejiang Zhuji, Ninbo Xiangshan and Lin'an Economic and Development Zone.
The group's main product is all kinds of surface and profile grinding machine as well as vertical machining center and EDM machine and precision casting parts.
