'Super Abrasives' was founded in 1980 and the production started in 1982. From a meager turnover of Rs. 1.37 lakhs during the 1st year, the company has come a long way and its present turnover is nearly Rs. 100 lakhs. It has already undergone two small expansions with the help of Karnataka State Financial Corporation and State Bank of India, and is in now on the threshold of a major expansion cum diversification in the near future.
The factory is situated at Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore, India - the fastest growing industrial city in the country, which is very well connected by Road, Rail and Air. It has an equitable climate with excellent infrastructure for Industrial growth. Super Abrasives employs 4 Engineers and about 15 workers to look after production, it has a good network of sales and has agents/representatives in major towns in India. The sales network is being expanded now to cover more areas and Industries. Ours is an ISO 9002 company Certified by KPMG. The factory has a constructed area of about 18000 sq. ft. and has good scope for expansion. We have recently acquired about 30,000 sq. mtrs. of land for further expansion.
We manufacture highly specialized Abrasive Products like Honing stones/Superfinishing stones, Small grinding wheels of Aluminum Oxide and Silicon Carbide up to 1200 grit as per EPA Standards. We are one of the very few industries in the world to manufacture these fine grit products successfully. The company has added PVA wheels (Flexible polishing wheels) in its product range a couple of years ago to replace the Japanese monopoly in India.
The company is directly supplying its goods to end-users and has practically no dealers at present. The major industry using our product is Ball& Roller Bearing Manufacturers, Hydraulic & Pneumatic cylinders and equipment manufacturers, automobile industry, Watch Industry and the like.
