The development of vacuum brazing the wearable spiral extrusion head with diamond-WC compound coating

Abstract Through the Rolling technology, fix the proportional diamond powder, WC powder, Ni-based solder and bond together to make metal cloth with good flexibility. Fix the metal cloth on to the matrix surface of 45# steel spiral extrusion head with several different diamond-WC content and different temperatures of Ni-based solder, melt with the vacuum brazing technology, then check the micro hardness of the coating surface, and survey the abrasion through the practical use. The results indicated that the coating intensity of the 860 ℃ Ni-based solder 15% Diamond and 40% WC, and the coating/substrate binding intensity are both higher, the wear-resistance is also higher, and the using life increases to 100 times more than the tool steel spiral extrusion head.
