2012 Spring Exchange Information of National Abrasives and Grinding Products Industry andThe Opening Ceremony of the 55th China Corundum Silicon Carbide Trade Fair is held on the morning Mar 22 in Guiyang city. Almost 600 representatives from abrasives and grinding products industry and upstream and downstream enterprises attend this fair.

They are sitting in front of the representatives seats, Yu Chengting, honorary board chairman of CMBTA, the director of the division of mechanical basis equipment, the original machinery department, Mao Yufeng, the vice secretary general of CMBTA, Yuan Jinyu, the president of Abrasives and Grinding Products Sub-association, CMBTA, the leaders of Abrasives and Grinding Products Sub-association and Abrasives and Grinding Products Sub-association in Guiyang, and the representatives of each governing unit of Abrasives and Grinding Products Sub-Association and sponsor representatives.

Theme report based on the conference arrangement showed systematic and general analysis on industry development, main problems, national macro policy guidance and future development trend of industry etc.

Zhou Jinlong, the senior advisor of Abrasives and Grinding Products Sub-association, gave a report about economic situation analysis of abrasives and grinding products industry in 2011 and industry trend in 2012, divided into two parts. There’re some features for industry development trend in this report according to the statistical data analysis of industry economy and investigation for some enterprises. Firstly, export trade increased steadily; Secondly, rising production cost gradually and dropping profits; Thirdly, obvious effect on structural adjustment of production; Fourthly, production automation of deep processing for abrasives is carried out gradually in the enterprises. Meanwhile, the report pointed that 2012, as a connecting link between preceding and the following, is a year of carrying out the 12th Second-Five Year. The country launched a series of planning and measures of new industry development, encouraging and supporting some projects. Most of them related to our industry, which offered good opportunity for our industry development.

Yu Chengting, the honorary director of CMBTA, gave a report from the point of view of progress of machine industry to observe the development trend of abrasives and grinding products. Director Yu analyzed systematically external situation of abrasives and grinding products industry development and evaluated objectively the basical condition of abrasives and grinding products in the report, pointing out the problems in the production, quality, standard, technological innovation and R&D of industry development, then guided them.

Jin Qinguo, the president of Henan Refractory Material Industry Association, gave a report on “development trend of refractory materials and the application of corundum and silicon carbide in the refractory materials”, talking about the problems of abrasives future development from the view of downstream industry of abrasives and grinding products industry.
