On June 17, General Administration of Quality Supervision (AQSIQ) issued the formal documents to approve the establishment of National Diamond Tools Quality Supervision Center built by Ezhou City according to the news released by the Ezhou Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision.

There’re almost 300 medium-sized and small enterprises of diamond cutter around the Yanji Town core region in Ezhou. The products have exported to more than 30 countries and regions, including America, Europe, Russia, Middle East, South Africa etc. It has been the largest diamond cutters production base in China, enjoying the reputation of Diamond Cutter Hometown.

In 2006, Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision formally approved that Ezhou found Hubei Diamond Tool Quality Supervision Center. At present, there’re all kinds of 40 engineering and technical personnel, accounting for 90% of the total people, including 14 senior engineers, 14 engineers with above medium-level technical position, 8 doctors, 3 masters, 17 bachelor or above in the center. The laboratory covers 2325 square meters, 320 square meters constant temperature and humidity area. There’re all kinds of 137 detecting instrument equipments. This center establishment plays an important role in supporting the development of Hubei Diamond Tools Industry. The document of approval requires that the preparation assignment book or other materials are submitted to AQSIQ within three days and the preparation work must be completed within 18 months.

National Diamond Tools Quality Supervision Center built by Ezhou is the only one in the country according to the introduction. It will make Ezhou City National Diamond Technology R& D Base, product standard base, seizing commanding height of the industry to promote strongly the development of Ezhou City diamond industry.
