Research on mathematic model of matching between carbide anvils of cubic press and pyrophyllite cube

Abstract In order to clear up what make the anvil break down, this paper discussed the deformation law under super-high pressure against the seal and pass of pyrophyllite, and got the mathematic model between the different measurement of the anvil and pyrophyllite, then the confirmatory tests have been done on the SJY-I, SYJ-II type cubic ultrahigh pressure apparatus. The result shows that the mathematic model is correct, which makes the deterioration of carbide anvil reduced and the quality of diamond improved obviously. The research takes convincing theoretical support to the design of the carbide anvil, pyrophyllite and HP/HT synthesis cell.
