It is reported that a super large iron ore mine at Lop Nur mine located in Xingjiang Province was explored. And its preliminary reserve proves to hit 20 million tonnes.

The preliminary exploration of iron ore cannot be carried on until the poor infrastructure in this mine area such as the shortage of water, electricity and road building is improved.

Lop Nur is rich in mineral resources and 51 kinds of minerals has been found there among which potassium, gold, asbestos, jade and granite are the most famous.
