Recently, Zhengzhou Research Institute for Abrasives & Grinding (ZZSM) is identified as Zhengzhou Technology Exchange and Information Service Platform of China Innovation Relay Network (CIRN) by Zhengzhou City for the first time, the total number of which is 25 with 11 comprehensive and 14 colleges and universities service platforms.

CIRN is the trans-regional, multi-industry and cross-cutting technology transformation service system and innovation supporting system of medium-sized and small enterprises (SME), which is built by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) based on the successful experiences of EU Innovation Relay Center (IRC), combining with China’s national situation and replying on the present resources, innovation technology transfer mechanism and model. It is oriented by the demand of enterprise technology and supported by informatization. It aims at resolving the problems of innovation and development for SME through improving technology transfer network and finding innovation demand of enterprise technology. CIRN consists of national, regional and basic level service platform. CIRN is located in MOST. Each province has one regional and several service platforms. ZZSM is selected as the first Zhengzhou technology exchange and information service platform, one of the service platforms of 14 colleges and universities.
