The Call for Papers for the 3rd International Industrial Diamond Conference to be held in Paris next year has generated a huge response from the industry. Nearly 90 abstracts were received by the closing deadline, which is on a par with the previous two conferences held in Barcelona in 2005 and Rome in 2007.

Organisers of the conference, Diamond At Work, are delighted that, despite the current economic climate, this response has been so positive, and the conference programme promises to be as stimulating and diverse as in the past.

The list of abstracts includes research and application examples on diamond and CBN products derived from high pressure/high temperature synthesis as well as coated and free-standing diamond products produced by low pressure CVD synthesis. Over the next few weeks, Diamond At Work will make further announcements regarding keynote speakers and a preliminary programme will be drawn up very shortly.

The 3rd International Industrial Diamond Conference will be held at Le Méridien Etoile Hotel in Paris from April 16 - 17th 2009.
