Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering

Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (ZRIME), founded in 1956, is a subsidiary enterprise of China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology (CAM) and a state-owned high-tech enterprise. ZRIME is engaged in R&D, engineering contracting projects and large scale production. ZRIME has the right of degree-conferring of 2 PhDs and 4 master’s degree.

ZRIME constructed 8 brazing-related scientific research platforms, including “State Key Laboratory of Advanced Brazing Filler Metals and Technology” and “International Science and Technology Cooperation Base of Advanced Brazing Filler Metals and Technology”. ZRIME has the title of vice-chairman unit of National Brazing Technical Committee for Standardization, vice-chairman unit of Brazing and Special Joining Committee, welding society of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and also serves as member of Brazing Committee and Welding Material Committee.

In the past five years, ZRIME has undertaken over 90 national projects, and has been awarded 88 Science and Technology prizes, including a second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China.

Owning the largest brazing research team in China, ZRIME has 81 brazing researchers, including 2 double-employed academicians.36 doctoral supervisors/ researchers/ senior engineers and 31 holders of master’s degrees or doctorates. The “Team of Green Brazing Filler Metals & Technology” has been selected as the National Key Fields’ innovative team.

Training Place Introduction

Henan province, is situated right in the heart of China, covering an area of 167000 square kilometers, with a total population of 100 million ,which is the largest of all provinces in China.Henan is located to the southern bank of the Yellow River, which is our mother river, Chinese ancestors started the civilization here.

Zhengzhou, which is the capital and largest city of Henan province in central China. It serves as the centre of political, economic, technological, and educational of the province, as well as a major transportation hub for Central China. It was once the capital of Shang dynasty 3500 years ago, because of that, Zhengzhou is one of the Eight Great Ancient Capitals of China and holds important status of modern mall center in connection with other places.

Zhengzhou mainly influenced by monsoon, has four distinct seasons, temperate continental climate, with cool, dry winters and hot, humid summers. Spring and autumn are dry and short.
