Hydraulic bursting is achieved by a series of holes to perforate the concrete once the holes have been drilled the bursting heads are placed in the holes. The hydraulic pressure is applied, the bursting heads then expand and cracks are formed in the concrete, the cracks will find the weakest route, this process is repeated until the whole structure is reduced to small enough sections to be removed by hand.
